Located in Norwest business park, near the man-made lake, Tokio Fans has long been a family favourite for Japanese food around the Hills area. Not only is the dishes consistently well-made, the service has always been friendly and relatively efficient.
Softshell crab roll
To start off with, we ordered the special softshell crab roll which is made fresh to order, with the softshell crab still being slightly warm and extra crunchy within the layer of rice.
Gyoza
Hand-made gyozas are again delicious, and is crunchy on the base and top without being burnt. The insides are generously filled out, and are bursting with flavour.
Beef Sukiyaki hotpot
The hotpots are always fun to order since you get to have a semi-cook-yourself experience, but today the beef sukiyaki broth was a little overly sweet.

Chicken katsu
Moist and tender pieces of chicken is battered and crumbed, before being deep fried to a golden perfection (though you probably can't tell with the terribly purplish quality of photos I took).
All in all, it was another lovely meal at Tokio Fans. We really should explore more of the menu, and hopefully next time I'll remember to have the camera on the right settings :) Apologies for the purplish photos I took this time round :(
