Subzero: Cabramatta (19 January 2013)

So between my uni finals and travelling around the States with M, I know it's been a while since I last blogged! Well 3 months to be precise - gosh time flies by fast! Anyway here's the first post to kick off our massive backlog of photos that's piled up!

Towards the end of last year we heard that a new froyo shop was opening up in Cabramatta, so with the weather heating up in Sydney we decided to make the drive there to check it out. Located on the busy John Street in Cabramatta, Sub Zero stands out from the surrounding stores with its bright futuristic purple/white decor. With the exponential growth of new froyo stores popping out from everywhere in Sydney, Sub Zero manages to stand out from the majority of the pack with the inclusion of more "asian flavours". These ranged from flavours like original, coconut, taro and durian. We decided to stick to durian and taro, since taro is my favourite flavour and well... I've never tried durian froyo! The two flavours actually went well together, with the durian froyo still managing to maintain it's natural sweetly pungent taste to contrast with the milder flavoured taro froyo. Honestly just the fact that they offered durian flavoured froyo would have been enough to warrant me driving an hour for, so I was even more so pleased with the matching generous serving sizes, and smooth and creamy consistency. Definitely give Sub Zero a go if you're in the neighbourhood (or go for a road trip like me if you're both a durian and froyo fan!)
